Crypto Horses putting on a show

Updated: Nov 24, 2021

'Horse Show' is my new collection of hand drawn horses trotting onto the blockchain this last week in October. Anyone familiar with the collectibles NFT market will know that most successful artworks are computer generated and run into thousands of characters to collect. The most well known are collections such as Crypto Kitties and The Bored Ape Yacht Club. My stable of horses however, are going to be hand drawn on my iPad using Affinity Designer. This means that there are not going to be thousands to choose from (unless I get really carried away!) but there will be regular drops of new horses. In other words my equine creations will be appearing on OpenSea at a gentle trot rather than a stampede.

All my creations begin in the sketchbook as pencil drawings which I then take into the iPad and work on with either Procreate or Affinity Designer where they often become very detailed and colourful due to my obsession with pattern. Each horse will be completely unique although it may share traits with others such as eye colour or style of mane. The line work will of the main body of the horse will remain the same, apart from colour variations across the collection.

First past the post is this Seahorse the first person to buy this on the primary market will also receive a signed 1/1 Giclée A3 print on Canson Aquarelle Rag 310gsm paper.

I will post the remaining four initial horses that I'll be minting individually leading up to the end of October here for you to see but there will be more coming soon. If you want to follow along and be among the first to see this collection and be in the running to win a 'Gift Horse' please follow me on Twitter.

Three more horses have joined the 'Horse Show' Collection on OpenSea Trojan Horse, Carousel Horse and Night Mare (Minted today on Halloween). Each horse is a square image at 17.6 Mb at 0.1 Eth and all come with a free print for the first purchaser.

The latest addition to the show is 'Chalk Horse' inspired by my own county of Wiltshire. This horse has chalky linework and is galloping in a field of wild flowers. Find out more about this digital artwork here on Opensea.io

Watch this space for more 'Horse Show' collectibles coming soon.
